Wenzel was the Lead Developer tasked with updating the Ray Of Hope Church, Inc.
website. Before he began this project
the church website had not been updated in at least five years. Some of the pages on the site had not been
edited for as many as ten years.Mr.
Wenzel was tasked with finding a website editing program the church staff would
be able to use, because the old program was then out of date and nonfunctional. Most importantly he was tasked with designing
a new page format that would not lose the navigation bar when scrolling down
through the page content. The solution
was solved with the use of scroll boxes utilizing HTML/CSS. As of July, 2016 the website content is
converted to the new format and the church staff has taken over the future
content editing of the website.
Mr. Wenzel began formally studying computers and related
technologies at Corning Community College in 2015. His studies are very important to him. In fact, he started his first year at the community
college with twenty-two college credits completed while in high school through
the ACE program.Logan earned a place on
the Dean’s List both semesters he completed at Corning Community College.Currently, as of 2016, he attends SUNY
Fredonia in the Bachelors of Computer Science program. In the Spring of 2019 he plans to join the
work force full time after graduating.
Logan is a fanatic about his computer. In fact, he has already
built his first computer designed exactly to his specifications. He is currently in search of an internship to
help further his knowledge of software development and coding. He is a hard worker and will be able to start
a part time internship in or around the Fredonia area while at school, or in or
around the Elmira area during the Summer of 2017.
When not studying he spends time coding mostly 2D games,
skiing, enjoying the Southern Tier Region of Upstate New York, and spending
time with friends and family.
The staff of Ray Of Hope Church, Inc. highly recommends
Logan Wenzel to anyone or any organization looking to build, design, and
maintain their own website without the contracting of a third party company
that promises to do all the editing and maintenance for the “client.”Mr. Wenzel will assist you and your organization
as he assisted ours. His work is excellent.
The two main programs Mr. Wenzel chose to update the rayofhopechurch.com
website are Web Page Maker: http://www.webpage-maker.com
and Word2cleanhtml, a fantastic application that creates clean HTML from
pasting Word documents into the application. We thank Mr. Olly Cope for this very useful and free web application: www.word2cleanhtml.com
