As of February 27, 2016 we are finally able to edit our web site after many years.  Our goal is for this web site to be our communication and ministry   portal.  Pages to be published in the future include: the Sunday Bulletin, The Council Of Ray Of Hope - which will have monthly agendas, minutes and financial reports, a Library page featuring lists and samples of our over 6,000 holdings, Founders / Foundresses Page, LGBTQIS his/herstory, a photo album of the making of the Elmira chapel, many new links for resources.

We are rebuilding our web site with new information and a new all devices friendly format.

The chapel, is now ACCESSIBLE to the "differently abled" with a commercial grade
wheelchair lift in front of the building, pictured here.

Check back often to read new content on our web site.

Dear Friends and Members of the Body Of Christ and His Church,

January 20 Epiphany Wk 3, Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.     Year C
These readings set for this week reveal God's unchangeable plan for Israel and the future Kingdom of Christ.  During this age between the first and second coming of Jesus the church of Christ is endowed with spiritual gifts so we can continue to witness to God's presence until Christ comes.  The second reading introduces some of the spiritual gifts we have available for our use.  Dr. King, Mrs. King and all those who raised the attention of our Country to the reality of racism used their spiritual gifts in many creative ways.  The movement was very fluid and open to the ideas the Holy Spirit put into the minds of those in leadership.  The use of these spiritual gifts helped bring us to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 signed into Law by President Johnson on July 2nd.  The Gospel reading is the miracle at the wedding in Cana.  Jesus shows compassion, empathy and concern and at the same time by changing the water into wine Jesus reveals he is the Son of God they were all waiting for.  This story is also in Scripture for our use as we explain to others who Jesus is.  Once we know who Jesus is, we can do the works He has called us to do, just as Dr. King and so many others have done in pursuit of liberty and justice for all.

Ray Of Hope Church teaches the same Christian faith of ancient ecumenical consensus.   St. Vincent of Lerins, a fifth century monk and theologian, described it as "what has been believed always, everywhere, and by all."

Coming up!

Sunday January 27 the 35th Annual Meeting of Ray Of Hope Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc. in our 35th year of ministry.  Worship at 10:30 AM, shared dinner following, Annual Meeting between 1:30 and 2:00 PM

Join us for worship and enjoy the POWER OF PARTICIPATION, a phrase that came to me in prayer during Pride month, 2018.  We are called together to give God thanks and praise.  CHURCH MEANS GROUP TOGETHER.  Jesus designed His Church to be in this Age, this Dispensation as HIS PEOPLE, HIS GROUP, HIS PEERS, to do this work together.  FEEL THE POWER OF PARTICIPATION  this Sunday at 10:30 AM, live in the chapel or live on line through Skype.

Reserve this time for HIM.

+ Ray Of Hope Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ is Christ-centered in all of its teachings, and therefore does not ascribe to the dogmas, teachings, or practices of any denomination, or para-church organization of the Christian Church. Rather, we maintain an autonomous freedom to draw from the two millennia of immense riches known in all denominations of Christianity. Ray Of Hope Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ is an "independent" local Church. This does not mean we stand alone, as though on pride or arrogance, rather we seek to share an interdependence with other assemblies and fellowships of believers who endeavor equally as hard as we do to bring the Gospel to all people.  (Ray Of Hope Church Statement Of Faith)

Ray Of Hope Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc. is the name of this ministry.  The only name associated with this ministry is the "Name above all names."  (see Philippians 2:8-11)
8     Jesus humbled himself,
        becoming obedient to death,
        even death on a cross.
9 Because of this, God highly exalted him
    and bestowed on him
the Name above every other name,
10      So that at the name of Jesus
    every knee must bend,
in the heavens, on the earth,
    and under the earth,
11  and every tongue proclaim
    to the glory of God:
