Section 1: RESPONSIBILITIES OF CHURCH LEADERSHIP
Persons designated as Clergy, meaning those persons holding
a License To Ministry, and/or holding both a License To Ministry and having
been Ordained in Ray Of Hope Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ; The Council Of
Ray Of Hope Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ and the "Leadership
Committees" of Ray Of Hope Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and all
persons in Leadership as defined in the bylaws have a fiduciary obligation to
the church to act in good faith and in the best interests of this Christian
Community which has elected and appointed them to do so. The term
"Fiduciary" is derived from a Latin word meaning "held in
trust." Persons holding places of leadership are entrusted to comply with
the highest Gospel Ethics, and thereby are expected to comply with certain
legal obligations. When leadership fails to do this, our organization, and
sometimes the individuals in leadership may be held responsible, or liable for
the failure, especially when another person is victimized in an incident deemed
to have been the responsibility of Ray Of Hope Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ,
and/or its leaders.
It is the goal of the Ray Of Hope Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ Clergy,
Council, members, and attendees to uphold the highest possible Christian ethics
in all matters regarding our life together as a Christian Community. This
policy is intended to assist us in this standard.
