See the entire all City Ash Wednesdy Service we participated in on March 6, 2019. We were one of the participating churches along with Bethany Lutheran Church, First United Church of Christ, Frederick Douglass AME Zion Church, New Beginnings United Methodist Church, Ray Of Hope Church, Trinity Episcopal Church, United Baptist Church , Westside United Methodist Church, and Webb Mills United Methodist Church. Monday, May 6, 2019 Ray Of Hope Church participated in an event sponsored by the Elmira Downtown Churches. The churches tolled our bells at 12:40 PM one toll for each century the Notre Dame Cathedral of Paris has stood in honor of God. To see the video of our participation CLICK HERE.

However, here is a text script from a conversation I had with a friend that reminds us we ALL can be a mother to someone some of the time. I exchanged this with a friend the day before Mother's Day in 2019. Hopefully you will be blessed as you read this. My "Friend" and his wife have adopted now four children since they cannot have their own biological children. This church they were attending only gave out flowers to the biological mothers. I was so pleased he told me about this because it launched the following conversation on the Motherhood of God in all of us. Read on to see God spoke to us about this. One proof that Jesus was who he said he was is the mathematical calculations written in the Bible that identify the exact days we call Palm Sunday and the Crucifixion of Jesus as they were prophesied in the Book of Daniel. AIDS virus dates back to the 1800s according to the C.D.C. "" H.I.V. infection in humans came from a type of chimpanzee in Central Africa. Studies show that H.I.V. may have jumped from chimpanzees to humans as far back as the late 1800s. " The chimpanzee version of the virus is called simian immunodeficiency virus. It was probably passed to humans when humans hunted these chimpanzees for meat and came in contact with their infected blood." On this Sunday we considered the tremendous love Mary, the Mother of Jesus had as she put her life at risk to have the Messiah Child.
